HDR10: Baseline, Static Metadata

HDR10+ and Dynamic Metadata

Tone Mapping and Artistic Intent

No consumer TV reproduces 10,000-nit master peaks. Tone mapping is an interpretive act—sometimes studios provide display-target trims; often the TV’s processor guesses. Resolution debates pale next to a mismapped HDR grade; verify your player passes through metadata unmolested when possible.

Connectivity Checklist

UHD Blu-ray and Apple TV-class streamers need HDCP 2.2+ and sufficient HDMI bandwidth for 4K/24–60 HDR. PC gamers should confirm GPU output matches TV EDID or use vendor utilities to cap formats the panel handles cleanly.
